Dear ILR Llama Owners,
re: An urgent message from the ILR
Show Division Finance Committee Chairman
The ILR Show Division is well under way and has a
hard working and dedicated group of committee
members working diligently to make sure this
opportunity becomes a operative organization as
quickly as possible.
The ILR Board, from the inception, affirmed that
Registry funds could not be used to finance the Show
Division. Therefore, now that the Board has heard
our voices and agreed to proceed, we have an
immediate need for donations to fund the
preliminary set-up expenses and programming
requisite of this Show Division.
For those who originally committed funds subject to
the ILR Board proceeding with the Show Division,
those funds are needed as soon as you are able to
send them. To the many other members out there .
. . we certainly need your help! If every member
would remit something (even your
Friday night pizza money) . . . it would
make everyone’s task just a little easier.
For this
venture to happen, and after "crunching the
numbers," we must raise $50K in the next couple
of weeks!!! This may sound like a lot . . .
but if everyone devotedly does their part . . .
it will make our job easier and we all will benefit.
This initial generation of funds will only encompass
the immediate administrative and programming
requirements of the show division, additional funds
will have to be raised throughout the coming year.
Once established, it is still the intention that the
Show Division will be self-funding.
The ILR and its subsequent Divisions belong to you - the membership! The
Board of Directors, the Governing Board and the
various Division Committees are there to serve you .
. . the member! But we need your help,
collaboration and financial support! Alone, we will
struggle, but with the combined support of all the
membership, we can be more successful and make rapid
progress. In conveying your donations, please
clearly indicate your payment as a donation to the
Show Division.
We would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank
You” to those who have already sent in their
donations. Remember, for anyone whose contribution
is $1,000 or more, you will automatically be given a
Lifetime Membership in the ILR Show Division. If you
need to extend your donation over a period of time
. . . just let us know so that we may budget
accordingly.
On behalf of the countless members who are involved
in the organizational development, I offer our
special “Thank-you” to the membership . . .
it is because we all share the one common goal .
. . the love of our llamas . . .
that we have set aside many hours to promise each of
you a Show organization that you can be proud to be a
part of!
