The ILR Board
Announces Co-Chairs and Introduces
NEW ILR Programs and Awards
for the

Fourth Annual International Gathering
of Friends & Champions

June 13-15, 2014
Iowa State Fairgrounds

Announcing our Co-Chairs for the 2014 Gathering:
Sharon Carrier and Terry Duespohl!

Introducing NEW ILR Events, Classes and Awards
for the 2014 Gathering!

The ILR will be hosting an Awards Dinner at the Gathering. Details will follow in another e-Bulletin.

GOAL: Provide a competition for young adults who are too old to compete in the ILR Youth Division.

AGE RANGE: Open to young adults 19-25 years of age as of January 1 of the current year.

CLASS: This class will consist of a 10 obstacle course, judged by 2 judges. Scores will be combined (note – judges will be volunteers and not the Gathering judges). The judges must have experience in performance classes and are preferably an ILR certified judge. Judges to be selected by the ILR BOD at the Gathering. Relatives of the judges may not compete.

ENTRY FEE: Minimal entry fees - $15.00 per entry.

PURSE: Guaranteed purse of $1,000.

PLACING: Minimum 'Top 3' places paid ($500.00; $300.00; $200.00) – more places may be paid based on number of entries and number of Sponsors.

If numerous entries are received there may be a preliminary and final round.

To be awarded at the Gathering. This award is for the overall halter, fleece, and performance winner. Points per class will be awarded based on the published ILR point chart. For the performance portion, only one performance class will count. The performance class used will be the performance class yielding the highest points. For example, if a llama places 6th, 7th and 3rd  in each of their performance classes, and each class has 10 animals, then the 3rd  place would be used for the All American Llama. This award will be presented at the ILR Awards Dinner at the Gathering

We will have at least 4 Pot of Gold classes at the Gathering, all with cash prizes.  There will be a junior and senior (based on animal age) halter class and also a junior and senior performance class. Animals have to be nominated by the breeder.

A special award will be present to the Composite Champion. To compete for this, you  must enter halter and fleece-on and the composite class.

We hope you will be part of the 2014 Gathering T.E.A.M.
Together Everyone Achieves More!
