FEBRUARY 2010 RULES & GUIDANCE COMMITTEE UPDATE
The Rules
& Guidance Committee has been busy wrapping up loose ends and
taking on new tasks. The latest revisions to the ILR-SD
Guidebook have now been formatted and are posted on the ILR
website for those wanting to view the most current ILR-SD Guide
book. As more guidelines come in from the other committees,
updates will be forwarded to the office for posting on the
website.
The
majority of the Rules & Guidance Committee, along with a few
others, have also volunteered their time and talents to get the
ILR’s 25th Anniversary Shows planned for 2010.
Anniversary committee members include Mary Jo Miller, Pam
Jensen, Tom Ross, Debbie Arendas, Donna Moore and Margaret
Henry. To date 6 sponsors (at $500 each) have been obtained,
banner work is being designed and bid on, exhibitor gifts are
being decided upon, as are sponsor banners and gifts. Special
classes will be recommended to show superintendents and gifts
will also be provided for those. An email has been sent to the
presently approved show superintendents to keep them up to date
on what plans have been made so they can plan accordingly also.
It has also been decided by the committee to have a “Friends of
the ILR 25th Anninversary” Fund so that those who can
not afford to be a sponsor can donate whatever their budget will
allow, and realize they too are a vital partner in this
endeavor.
