Gathering events / fund raisers - just for the fun of it!

No game of chance here - they are all sure to please.

At the 2012 ILR-SD International Gathering of Friends and Champions,
we are having two very special auctions.

This is the first of a series of e-mails highlighting some of the items
that we will be offering in the auctions.

Be sure to check out all items and
come prepared to have a hard time making your selections.

Some samples of the items for auction are:

TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK AT THIS!

One featured item is a handmade scroll saw Princess Clock. This item is donated by Hank Kauffman. Hank grew up with woodworking as a part of his daily life. When Hank retired by being full time employed off the farm he decided to put his upbringing to good use. For those that were at the Gathering in 2011, I am sure that you all saw and admired the woodworking display that Hank had in the main stalling barn. Hank makes everything from clocks, to bowls, to wall hangings, to napkin holders, and shawl pins. You can check them out by clicking here.

When asked to donate something from his scroll saw inventory, Hank picked out the best he has to offer, a Princess Clock. The workmanship is superb; the intricate lattice work is delicate and sets off the clock face. What a splendid piece for the people at the Gathering to have a chance to purchase. Come ready to purchase your gift for Christmas, an anniversary, birthday, or any occasion that you feel needs that “special item.”

ANOTHER TEMPTING POSSIBILITY IS
. . .

For those of you wanting to pick out what you want from a huge inventory, rather than have just one item to view, this auction item is for you. Margaret Drew – Stonehenge Llamas of Vacaville, California has generously donated a custom screen printed package valued at $500.00. You can pick from shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, magnetic items, hats, bumper stickers, key chains, and many, many other items. Margaret will work with you to make sure that the designs you pick out or submit to her, are what you want. Remember, this is a custom package – your items will be a one of a kind in design, color, and variety.

We have seen the work that Margaret does and it is top notch. You will not be disappointed. You can contact her at [email protected] or  (707) 447-4060 to see what all will be included in this special offer. She will have specifics at the Gathering. Again, if you are the lucky purchaser, you are making all decisions on this one.

SERVE IN STYLE WITH THIS NOVEL SET!

This is a one of a kind, extremely unique and very special item for the Gathering auction. This will not be duplicated and for the person or  person wanting something that will be the focal point of any special occasion, this is it. Most generously donated by Greg and Debbie Shellabarger, Spitting Creek Llamas, is the hand painted service for four consisting of dinner plates, dessert plates, salad bowls and glasses, with a drink dispenser. Words will not do this justice. We appreciate this very special donation. Take a look, get the table cloth out and make sure you have enough tickets to be the person that takes this special item home.

TAKE HOME A ONE-OF-A-KIND MOMENTO!

If you are looking for a special memory of the 2012 ILR-SD Gathering of Friends and Champions, this is it. This giant gourd basket was designed by Gayle Dumas of The Fuzzy Farm in Saluda, Virginia. Gayle wanted this to be special just for the Gathering and she hit the target on this one. Gayle has been advertising this on her website for her business Artfire - www.artfire.com with the notation that it can only be obtained at The 2012 ILR-SD Gathering event ... it is not for sale otherwise. What a way to remember the Gathering. Take a look at the pictures on this one and you'll find you will want to be the first in line to bid.
