Exciting news for
the Llama Community!
|
We are very pleased to announce that the
ILR (International Lama
Registry) and the LFA (Llama
Futurity Association)
have decided to hold both of their National Events on the same weekend,
June 14-16, 2013,
at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, Des Moines, IA.
The International Gathering of Friends and Champions and the LFA Futurity
and Sale
will share the same facility and run their events independently.
The mission statement of both associations states the
organization will
“work cooperatively with other llama associations”
and the benefit of this joint effort to the llama community is going to be
amazing.
Exhibitors can participate in either or both events that weekend –
imagine,
two National Shows and a National Sale happening together.
That means one weekend off, one set of travel expenses and two opportunities
to promote your farm and participate in a variety of different classes and a
sale.
Representatives from the ILR Board and LFA Board are coordinating the event
with the Gathering Chairperson, Norris Berg,
and a schedule for the weekend will be announced in the coming months.
We see this sharing of facility and resources as a very
positive direction for the industry
and the ILR looks forward to working with the LFA Board to coordinate this joint
venture.
The opportunities for the members of both organizations
are enhanced by this combined event.
Save the Dates, June 14-16, 2013,
and enjoy this opportunity to support the ILR, the LFA
and the Llama Community.
See you at the
2013 International
Gathering of Friends and Champions
and the LFA Show and Sale!
