We're asking that as many of
you as possible GO GREEN
and purchase your memberships HERE!
Thanks!
The ILR represents all llama owners regardless of their number of animals owned and their level of participation in
the industry. ILR Membership is NOT required to register or transfer llamas and we do NOT have plans to
require membership. Anyone can register any eligible animal regardless of age and can transfer animals
regardless of date of purchase. Membership gives you ownership in the organization and the opportunity
for added involvement in the Industry.
For the past seven years, we have worked to develop many different marketing and awards programs for our members. The
active Programs we have are listed above and there are many promotion opportunities available through the
ILR website. As the ILR Board reviewed the active programs and the demographics of llama ownership and participation
in the programs, we realized that one standard all inclusive membership level was more than a lot of the
llama owners and llama “users” were interested in. We feel all the promotion opportunities and programs we
have developed are valuable and rival those of other livestock industries and we did not want to eliminate
programming to those that are utilizing it, but also do not want to force more on owners that do not want
the additional items.
Based on these observations, we have developed the tiered level of membership:
Associate - designed
for non-llama owners who want to be involved in the industry (ie 4H leaders, veterinary clinics, feed suppliers,
etc.
Youth -
designed for all youth under
the age of 18 (as of Jan. 1), Youth do not have to own llamas or be involved in 4H / FFA
Basic Owner Level -
designed for the
owners that are actively enjoying ownership activities, but not doing a lot of breeding or marketing of llamas.
Breeders & Promotion Level
- designed for the
llama owners actively breeding/buying/selling llamas and marketing/promoting their production.
Show Division -
ILR-SD members receive
points/awards and can participate in the International Gathering of Friends & Champions.
Again, membership at any level gives you ownership in the ILR and the opportunity to participate at the level that best
applies to your farm. And as always, we encourage everyone to register all of your llamas, but membership
is NOT required to register or transfer animals. We hope you will purchase a membership at the level that
applies to your level of interest and we look forward to continuing to serve ALL llama owners and the Llama
Community long into the future.
Thank you for YOUR SUPPORT
for YOUR Registry and Show Division!

we thrive!
