Advantages of ILR Youth Membership

Ø      You receive membership in BOTH the ILR and the ILR-Show Division – all for only $10.

Ø      You do not have to own llamas to be a Youth Member, just be under 18 years of age on January 1^st.

Ø      You can participate in the ILR Universal Awards Program (UAP) – EVERY activity with your llamas counts towards year-end and lifetime awards

·         ALL shows count in the UAP (ILR-SD, ALSA, 4H/FFA, Open, etc.)

·         Beyond the Show Ring – parades, PR visits, hikes, training seminars – it all counts towards your awards.

Ø      Opportunity to participate in the Pot of Gold Llama Futurity for Youth – here is a great way to earn cash for showing your llamas.

·         NEW for 2013 – Geldings AND Males and Females can be nominated! Buy a nominated animal or nominate one of your own! Find out more about the Pot of Gold here.

·         Llamas can be nominated for Halter, Performance or BOTH.

·         The “Pot of Gold” for each category will be split between the Top 3 point winners.

·         ILR-SD points accumulate for the whole year – Pot of Gold nominated animals will earn double points at The Gathering.

Speaking of the UAP – the ILR would like to expand the Top 10 Awards Categories for Youth but we need your help to offset the cost of the additional categories. We need to reach 150 Youth members for the year so we can expand this program.

Ø      Encourage 4H/FFA members showing llamas to join the ILR with a Youth Membership.

Ø      Purchase Youth Memberships as Gifts to encourage their participation in the llama industry.

Ø      Directed donations for UAP Expansion for Youth are happily accepted – contact the ILR office.
