SAVE the DATE
2013 International Gathering
of Friends & Champions

June 14-16, 2013

The Promotions' Committee for the ILR would like to invite all ILR-SD members to come to the 2013 Gathering of Friends and Champions to be held June 14-16, 2013, at the Iowa State Fair Grounds, Des Moines, Iowa. For those who attended the event in the past, we are sure you will remember the quality of the facility and the spacious show ring. For those who have not joined us before, you are in for a very enjoyable event.

The 2013 Gathering
theme is Baseball. 

Keeping that in mind,
consider this "spring training"
and getting ready
 for the "game on" of the Gathering.  

We will have games that are baseball theme oriented - a baseball toss to knock over the cans and a bean bag toss. Our Committee is working on new ideas all the time!

We will still have our silent auction, and welcome donations of quality items – remember the better the item, the more it will bring in the auction.

The top 5 items donated will be used for a live auction on Saturday after the show for the day.  

We will also have our Tastes and Treasures tables . . . the Tastes being baked goods, fresh veggies, fruits, etc. for sale, and the Treasures being items that one person no longer has a use for, but others may consider them treasures. Again, donations are welcome and requested for both the Tastes and Treasurers.
We will continue to have the Gathering Dollars for the youth and a 'youth only' silent auction. So, bring items for the youth auction – this is always a hit with the kids.
We will have our photo contest again – Herd sires, Crias and Llama Fun categories. All photos will become the property of the ILR and will not be returned to you.

Members of the Promotions' Committee will be contacting ILR-SD members for a commitment for sponsorship for the 2013 event.  Please remember that in "spring training" we are all working hard to make the actual lineup for the All Star Game – our 2013 Gathering of Friends and Champions. Without sponsorship and without exhibitors, this event cannot go forward.  We need your support in all manner of ways – sponsorship, attendance, donations, etc. Let’s work hard this spring training season and make this event a HUGE success!
