SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Camelid Alerts System Goes Online

The Camelid Alerts system addresses the ongoing need for a centralized pathway to pass along important health information that affects camelids to interested parties. With outbreaks of various diseases that affect alpacas and llamas, it is important that camelid owners and breeders have a way to easily access information that will assist them in the protection and care of their animals. Because the camelid industry is so small in comparison with other livestock industries in the United States, it is imperative that the leaders within the industry work together to efficiently fill this information gap.

The Camelid Alerts system has been developed through the collaborative effort of the International Llama Registry (ILR), Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (AOBA), Alpaca Registry, Inc. (ARI), Alpaca Research Foundation (ARF), and International Camelid Institute (ICI). Its sole purpose is to notify camelid owners of the latest developments in camelid health.

It certainly is not our intention to add more clutter to your inbox. You can be assured that this list will not be used for anything other than health related alerts or education. We encourage you to consider signing up today at the link below.

You have three options to get these alerts and you are free to participate in any or all of them.We encourage your participation in at least two of the three options so that you are sure to receive the information.Visit Camelid Alerts for information on how to sign-up.
