History:
The ILR was incorporated in 1987 to record and maintain the genealogy of camelids in North America. The office of the ILR moved to Kalispell, MT in 1996 where it remains today. The ILR employs a registrar and office staff and operations are overseen by a five person board of directors.

The ILR is committed to providing value to the entire llama industry by providing services that are beneficial to all llama owners, regardless of their preferred type of llama or the preferred use of their llamas.
